Fun Stuff
NJROTC cadets work hard and play hard. Cadets are charged with planning, organizing and executing most of their functions. In preparation for the Military Ball the cadets are taught to waltz, proper table etiquette and how to conduct a receiving line. The cadets learn about the pageantry of a formal ball and dinner while having a good time. The male cadets wear their dress uniforms and the female cadets wear formal gowns. The cadets also plan the Unit Christmas Party which coincides with the Army/Navy game. The Command Picnic is the last function of the year and is fun for the whole family.
Cadets also have the opportunity to go on field trips with the Unit. Cadets have taken field trips to Air Shows and to the Nimitz Museum in Fredericksburg. The cadets also attend the UT Roundup which is an event hosted by UT for ROTC Units. The cadets are able to participate in a scavenger hunt on the campus and a knock-out drill.
