Parents

NJROTC has a lot to offer our children... discipline, structure, fun, scholarships, the beginning of a career path and a sense of belonging.  Our kids give a lot to this program.  We as parents give alot too and not just with donations.  Part of the overall yearly score for the program comes from participation from the cadets, parents, school and community.  The yearly score is how the Navy ranks the NJROTC programs and how funding is maintained.  So it's not only important for our children to become involved and participate, it's important for the parents too.

As parents we all know the day to day grind of getting everyone to school and work.  We also know that it's not always easy to get everybody everywhere they need or want to be.  Which is why parent volunteers are so very important.  There are several cadets that are unable to participate in teams, events, parties or other activities due to transportation.  And there are several cadets that walk to many activities or home from practice.  Cadets can sign up or their parents can sign them up for a car pool.  We also need parents who can help with car pools.

Parents also bring knowledge, information and resources to the program.  You never know how you can help!
